Jesus was and is the Redeemer long promised and anticipated in Scripture. But Jesus did not simply come with a message for personal transformation. In truth, the whole of creation is groaning for restoration. Society is aching for an ever-elusive peace. And we, sons and daughters of God, await the King’s return, whereupon he will wipe away every tear and death itself will be destroyed. This Advent season, as we prepare to celebrate Christ’s birth, let us also look toward his second coming and the fulfillment of this promise: Behold, I am making all things new.
